On 08/07/24 I received a remote job offer via text message from 912-380-9320, it was from someone saying his name was Eric, the hiring manager from Cigna Healthcare, he said he wanted to conduct an online interview with me and sent me a link to download Microsoft Teams app with a meeting code to be able to start the meeting.. I had just recently ( the day before ) applied for several remote jobs on Indeed and Ziprecruiter so I was believing this was legit so I downloaded the app and started the meeting. He then proceeded to ask interview questions, about 10 that I had to answer then he told me to just hang tight while he showed his hiring team, he then came back on and said that they were all impressed with my answers on my interview questions and with my resume so they wanted to offer me a position. He then asked for my email and said that he was going to send me a job description and an acceptance letter I needed to sign. I gave him my email and as I was waiting on the email to come thru he ask for my address and what bank I use because HR needed to see if they were compatible with that bank for direct deposit purposes for when I would receive my checks.
The email with the acceptance letter and job description came thru, it was very sketchy... It was on a letter head with the correct Cigna Healthcare logo, it was signed at the bottom by Mrs. Kristine Caramella HR DEPARTMENT IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR it said. The address was a PO Box and there was a phone number listed on the letter. The website listed on the letter looked sketchy as well ([email protected] ) so I googled it and it said webiste could not be found, so I decided to call the number on the job description/acceptance letter ( 985-401-1146 ) it rang one time and an automated voice came on that said
"please state your name and google voice will try to connect you"...
I gave a fake name then it rang several more time and the automated voice came back on that said
"the billing subscriber you are trying to call is not available"...
THIS IS SUPOOSE TO BE THE PHONE NUMBER FOR CIGNA HEALTHCARE!
So I then tried to call the phone number I received the original text message from, the 912-380-9320 and some man with an accent and groggy voice like he just woke up said "hello"...
THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE THE NUMBER TO THE HIRING MANAGER AT CIGNA HEALTHCARE!
