I was contacted about a job I applied to for a remote job, they had me fill out an application, take a small test to review my customer service skills, background check, Identity verification (mail with my address), and then I signed an employment contract. This was all through the hiring manager Kara Emery. After getting all of this done she let me know that my trainer's name is Scott Leeds and he would be contacting me on February 25. I was required to work the first month as my probationary period, if you made it through the 30 days they would give you your first paycheck, and after that then I was to get paid weekly. I worked everyday Monday- Friday (part-time hours) and on March 26th I emailed my project to Scott and he stopped responding to me, so I reached out to Kara. I made it to my 30 days, and eventually after trying to get ahold of them for 9 days, I gave up and just told them I dont care about working more, but I finished my probation period so they owed me $2,000 as it was written in the contract. After that they blocked me from calling their phone numbers and blocked me from sending any emails to them. I just did free labor for a month and got ghosted.
