Offering puppies for sale that does not have

- Hamden, CT, USA • Feb 22, 2024

My girlfriend was talking to the sellers on Facebook market. They were offering a Maltese for $150. Which she paid. Then she got an email from

http://translandslogistics.com/ saying the there were some issues with the delivery and she needed to pay between $300 and 500 to have the dog brought to her. She asked the sellers about it, who've been incredibly responsive up until that point.

“Giff Gifford” scammed $525 from my husband & I trying to purchase a purebred Bernese mountain puppy on 11/17-18/2023. She then copied an AKC registration for said puppy, she then said she would deliver puppy to us in central Florida by 3pm same day! We are appx. 3-4 hours in distance. Never happened, then she said she had a transporter agency that would deliver pup, when this person text my husband & said they needed $1,000 refundable on delivery to transport pup in an AC crate my husband tried sending PayPal payment but they had a lot of confusion with this and frustrated my husband handed this off to me.

The person, Stanley Curry tried to convince me I didn’t understand the process!

He sent this email to me: [email protected] -I advised him I put in correct email to send invoice, he kept saying I was wrong and use s capital P that he wasn’t getting $$$!?

I advised I was not sending again as PayPal showed I sent $1,000 already.

Suddenly he said everything was ok and pup would be there by 3.

3PM no puppy but within an hour another email requesting another $1,500 for transport/customs reasons/puppy needed shots to transport/etc. The puppy was allegedly from south Florida coming to central Florida. I advised no more $$$ and customs has no reason in this local transport. Pup never arrived, we called “Giff Gifford” she said she was getting back the pup from the pet transporter co. & our $1,000 check in our name. She would personally deliver said pup to meet us halfway (2 hrs each way for us) in Melbourne, Florida.

She never showed up again, more lies, again and again we are given the runaround, I said we’re done, had enough and to refund our $1,525 immediately. This person then cursed my husband out, blocked us from her sites & every site disappeared from FB and texts deleted immediately.

We have filed reports with PayPal & FB & have made contact with the Breeders sites yo report this scam so others won’t be taken!

I'm thankful that you made this post. Unfortunately, I was scammed too. Only a few hundred dollars. But one they asked for that $1000 I kneww it wasn't legit anymore.

I’ve been looking for a chihuahua puppy on Facebook. Contacted the sight and went back and forth for a day and a half about the puppy. They wanted a deposit, I tried to but my bank put a hold on the Zelle transaction, three times. The bank put a hold on the payment, it was reviewing it. I was going to go to Salt Lake to pick the puppies up. Then I remembered my husband’s daughter lives near Salt Lake. So I told the breeder that she would be coming by to pick the puppies up. He insisted that I give him a deposit. My friend also wanted three puppies. So, he wanted 300.00 dollars to get the paperwork ready for us. I told him that my husbands daughter would bring all the money cash (1300.00) in less than 16 hours the next day. He then suggested I go and get a gift card for the amount and take a picture of the front and back. I told him I wasn’t going out at night. Then he started in about he had other people who wanted the puppies and he wouldn’t hold them. So I said, you’re going to give up 1300.00 dollars because I can’t give you the deposit of 300.00? Again, I told him my husband’s daughter would come at the arranged time the next day and buy what we had to choose from. He proceeded to tell me his schedule had changed and wouldn’t be available. I checked out the Vet’s name, couldn’t find him in Utah. I looked up the address Richard gave me. It was a smaller older home in Bonneville Hills, Utah. He sent me a picture of two different certificates, one had his last name spelled wrong, the other one was on pink paper. Then on the 7th of November he contacted me again. I told him he was a SCAMMER. He said he wanted to prove to us that he was an honest businessman. That if we came (7th of November) today he would wait and let us get the puppies. Our son-in-law went to the address Richard gave me twice. The man at the address didn’t know anything about any puppies. This man and the two other peoples names he gave me were totally SCAMMERS. Rita Howard phone number was given to me for the Zelle transfer. William Crofts was the Vets name. The man I dealt with name was, Richard Wilson/Willson.

I was contacted by a member of Scottish Terrier puppies for Adoption on Facebook. He said he has 2 puppies, 1 male and 1 female. I asked how much and was told $600. $200 then and the rest on delivery of puppy. so I sent him $200 on Paypal using friends and family as directed. Then here nothing til like 6 pm, and he says the pet transportation agency Global Pet Express messes up stuff earlier, but things were now on schedule for the puppy to be flown to me that evening. Then the pet transport agency texts me and says they $350 for pet insurance for the flight. I ask if i can use PayPal Business as it gives me some security for getting my money back. they refuse. they say that the $350 is refundable on delivery of the puppy. so i send $350 on Paypal friends and family. Then they message back that the puppy needs a special crate and they options from $550-$1000. I refused, saying that a 4 lb puppy does not need a crate like that. I have looked into sending my previous scottie on a plane and he was full grown. I told them to return the puppy to the owner, and requested my $350 back since it was for "insurance" which they never used as the puppy was never sent. I contacted the owner and told him the same thing. told him to keep his puppy and find her a home closer to him. Then for the 24 hrs i was harrassed non-stop, bullied, disrespected by both parties. Then this morning I was threatened with a charge of Pet abandonment. I told them i kept every chat, message etc, and that I was contacting my attorney and if they didn't stop harassing me i was going to file charges. I had blocked phones yesterday, but the owner contacted me thru facebook, so have now blocked him on facebook. Also, the person who actually called me was Kevin, not Kurt James who was the facebook member who reached out on messenger first. Don't know if they are the same person or not.

Puppy on facebook. Said it was 200 and I could pick her up today. Then she said she needed 50 dollars down and I reluctantly sent it to her. then today she said she needed another 100 dollars to register the dog and I said that they usually do that online and I needed to see the puppy first and she continued to try to get me to pay the money. She is still texting me wanting to figure something out and I told her I want a refund... nothing yet

Had joined a Bernedoodle Puppy Group page on FB. After following for a bit, contacted the administrator about a puppy. He got back in touch with me and showed me two images of puppies that met my request. They puppies were already 12 weeks so past ready to go. He asked for a $500 deposit to be sent by Zelle or Apple Pay. I forwarded the deposit. The next day he told me something had come up and he needed the rest of the money. I told him "no". I wouldn't send any more money until I picked up the puppy. He pushed me on this and said I didn't trust him, etc. He sent me images of AKC papers on a Bernese Mountain Dog, vaccination records for a dog, and a video of a puppy. When I blew up the images, the vaccinations were for a dog older than the puppy I was supposed to be getting and the video was of a puppy younger than I was to be getting. I contacted the breeder of the Bernese Mountain Dog and they had never heard of the man I was talking with. I asked for my deposit back and after going back and forth for a couple of days, he blocked me. He also took down his FB group page. When I asked about that, he said he was adding security to it because it had been hacked.

My Zelle deposit went to a Vernard Walker with the e-mail [email protected]. The man I thought I was talking to was Jonathan Frank and the people who liked his FB page are from Cameroon. He also has a website adorabledoodlefarm.com. It's still up last time I checked.
