Exploreryskxr0evo1nto8xqwg.hughty.shop Reports & Reviews (1)

Found this website based on a facebook ad for a portable 7000 pound car jack. The website appeared to be VERY legit looking but I was thrown off by the sketchy URL and ridiculously low price of the jack ($89 asking price, these things usually are listed for $1500). I decided I would try to find the real website's URL. It turns out the Fursts is actually located at Fursts.com, meaning my oddly specific https://exploreryskxr0evo1nto8xqwg.hughty.shop was likely a fake url. hughty.shop didn't even work as a URL and just gave a 404. Now knowing this, I decided to go to Privacy.com and create a fake credit card with a $1 monthly spending limit that I knew would decline and that I would never have to use again, but I could see clearly if it tried to get charged for anything more than my purchase (as scammers who get credit card information would do). So far nothing out of the ordinary but they did genuinely try to charge me for the jack and it declined obviously. I then decided that if this were a scam website, the focus of the scam would be on the car lift, so I tried adding other items to my cart (things that were cheap so I could just see what happens) and the cart didn't work. If I added items that weren't one of the "85% off" discounts (every one of them said 85% but they were all even more discounted than that when you actually ran the numbers) I could click "proceed to checkout" and my page would just refresh, no checkout. The only time I actually made it to the checkout was when that jack was in my cart, and even then the checkout page would only show that item - none of the other items.

Now here's where things get interesting - the website I said earlier https://exploreryskxr0evo1nto8xqwg.hughty.shop was only the entry point. This version of the Fursts website showed the jack. Fursts.com did not show the jack on their website, and I couldn't find it by manipulating URL paths manually either. However, when you added the jack to the cart on https://exploreryskxr0evo1nto8xqwg.hughty.shop and clicked "proceed to checkout", it would take you the the legitimate Fursts website to complete the sale! So this Fursts.com website that does not list any of these "scam" items from the scam website still somehow knew that those items existed, leading me to believe it is Fursts.com themselves creating this scam (and not just their website being cloned) and are trying to distance themselves but cannot afford to have two signed ecommerce websites (these are very expensive and the domain name of their scam site is very cheap). Once I saw the URL on the checkout page was Fursts, I felt a little more secure in my transaction and almost decided to give it a shot and gamble my $90 so I could possibly get a $1500 item, however what put me off was that the item description changed after you went from the scam site to the official website. The scam site advertised "7000-pound portable automatic lift-the best gift for your car??" but after you switched to the Fursts.com side of the transaction, it then became "Light truck kit Diecast Metal best gift 7000". This sounds like the name of a toy truck, so I thought the scam might have been sending me the wrong item. I've been the victim of a scam like that before so for that reason and the ones I mentioned above I obviously didn't go through with the purchase and came here. I will upload a zip with the HTML of their websites with this complaint.

Upload is not working for me for some reason so here is a link to the zip file I uploaded to google drive
