Essential Publishing contacted our business by phone and offered us an exclusive advertising spot in their upscale publication. They claimed that the ad would be a full page and that the publication would be circulated to four of the most upscale country clubs in our area. After receiving our email address, they sent us an invoice for $709.99. This was their fee to design the ad, print the publications, and send us five copies after print. They insisted that the entire fee must be paid up front before we could see an ad. This seemed suspicious to us, so I contacted the four country clubs with which they claimed to be affiliated. All four of the country clubs said that they had never heard of the publication and that they had never been contacted by them. We immediately blocked their phone number and emails. Fortunately, we did not lose any money in this scam. After more research we found similar claims by other people who had lost a lot of money from similar scammers.
