This guy call my company stating that if I don't call him back right-away, he's going to have my electricity disconnect in the next 2 hours. Before I call him back, I ask my wife if we paid the utility bill for Entergy. She told me, we paid that last Friday. So i call the ScamPulse.com to see if there was a scam going around. Found out there was...

Got a call from a guy name Anthone Miles stating that he was from Entergy and if I don't pay my bill of $389.00 at my business, my electricity will be diconnected immediately. So, I tried telling him that we need our electricity to run our business, we are never late paying our bill. He told me if I don't pay it now by getting a credit card and calling him back with the numbers on the cards, he will follow through with terminating our electricity. So, I call them back after I went I got the money out of our account and pay them. Then I call Entergy the phone number on my bill and found out it wasn't them calling me, but a scammer. Now in 2 days time I have to pay another $389.00 to Entergy. When I talk to to guy at the real Entergy, he just said matter-a-factly, Oh! yah, we were hack! Well I told him that they should be making continual annoments letting people know that their company has been hack, give us a special number to call, to make sure it's really them.

Got a call from a guy stating that he was from Entergy and he was going to turn off our electric if I don''t pay this bill. He said that the truck was in route and I was telling him that our company needs electric to run our business. Besides we didn't get a notice in the mail. Also, I paid by check. He said that their company never recieved the check. He told me to go CVS and get and iTune card and put $500 on it and call him when I didn't that, When I got the card I call him and they had the same message on their recording as Entergy. When he answer and ask for the numbers on the card, I gave it to him. Something keep bothering me about the way this was done, so I didn't sleep easy all night. When I got up this morning and I call Entergy, the same recording came on, but Entergy 800# was different from the scammers. The guy that answer the phone said that their recording has be hack. They have message on their recording stating they were hack, and we DO NOT CALL YOU OVER THE PHONE. He has been several calls a day about this scammer and these companies have been paying this phony bill. So, they told her to call the ScamPulse.com and report. So, she did! When she told me about what was going on, I told her to always call us first here at the BBB.. Carol said she tried call the 800# back and it was diconnected.

I received a phone call from Entergy, telling me that my power would be shut off within 45 minutes for non-payment of a bill. I knew the bill had been paid and even had cleared my bank, but they said they didn't have a record of it, but that if payment was duplicated, it would be returned. I had to go to CVS pharmacy and get a money pak card and make payment that way. I did not even consider a scam until the middle of the night when I woke thinking about it. I called Entergy this morning and they told me they never do this, and anytime someone wants a money card it is a scam. I hope ScamPulse.com puts the word out that someone claiming to be Entergy is doing this. Wish I had known!

For several days, several times a day, I've been getting calls from a person stating the are with Entergy. They want my Birthday and they see some fraudulent information on my record and they want to clear that up. After they ask me the question for my Birthday, they already knew my name, they also, wanted my address and I wouldn't give them anything. They didn't foll me, I told them I know they were trying to scan me!

After told to the scammers, I called Entergy and let them know what was going on and the lady told me, "They would never call me out of the blue and just ask me for personal information.

On Saturday, February 23, 2109 we received an automated phone call saying that we did not pay our electricity bill. The call then went to a live person asking for our credit card info because a representative was in route to our home to disconnect our electricity. After several phone calls back and forth and a call to my electricity company we were able to prove that we had a "zero" balance. We then called the given number (800-556-6150) and suggested that they find a job where they can earn an honest living and then the lady quickly hung up.

I got a suspicious call from someone claiming to work for Entergy. They knew our Church name and address and said that our account had been red flagged for non-payment and was due to be shut off. I asked why I had not received a shut-off notice in the mail and he told me to call a number and they would answer all of my questions. He kept trying to get me to write down the phone number and I told him I knew the customer service number to Entergy and hung up on him. I called Entergy and they told me that my account was in good standing. What really concerned me was how legitimate the call sounded. There was noise in the background that made it sound like a call center and there was also a slight delay from the time I answered and when they first spoke. We don't have caller ID. I didn't gather any information. The caller had a thick accent.

Jason with Entergy called said that he was a technician for Entergy and received a disconnect notice for my business. He said it was just a courtesy call because he could see that I was a business and he didn't want us to lose power.

He said for me to call customer service or go into an entergy location and settle the account. He stated that I was mailed two letters regarding our account and as I explained I had not received any, he told me to call customer service at 800-589-7150. I pulled my Entergy bill which was due but it did not show a past due balance. He stated that the payment (then asked how much I paid) was never applied to my account. I asked then why does it show on my bill. He couldn't explain but just told me to use the reference #23T2906 and call the 800-589-7150. I asked for his name and it is Jason ID#T2391. I immediately called Entergy using the number listed on my bill. The representative told me it was a scam and my account was ok. Curious, I called the 800 number he gave the recording is very similar to Entergy's.

I was contacted by phone from someone pretending to represent Entergy, he informed me that my electricity would be cut off in 30 min and I needed to contact the billing department at 1-504-881-1018. I then called the customer line from my entergy bill and checked status of my account. nothing due untill July.

I received a phone call recently. The caller identified himself as an employee of Entergy from the cut off department. He stated that our light bill was past due and if I did not pay it immediately, he had a work order to perform a disconnect of service in one hour from now. I asked him for a phone number to call him back after I checked our records. He gave me a number. He told me I owed over $1000.00 dollars and I needed to pay it immediately.

When I hung up I tried calling the number he gave me. A man answered just hello. I asked him what company he was with and he immediately hung up. Not long after this the number became no good.

A rep from Entergy contacting me for a work from home position with starting pay of $25. They told they will provide the office equipment for a mini office. They told me that I would need certain accounting software to do my job and they provided a check for me to deposit. First they wanted me to print the check and mobile deposit. I told them that is not the right way. So they sent me an actual check from CHASE bank. I deposited and they told me to send them $500 of the check to a person for working materials. Then they sent me another check under a different bank name and again asking me to print and mobile deposit. I told them no and they told me to not let my skepticism get in the way. Since then, the check has bounced and they have taken my money. The company they are representing is Entergy.

Caller identified himself as Jean Louis with the company Entergy. He indicated that he was told to shut our office electricity off in 45 minutes if payment for the bill was not paid. Totally over $400.00.

Entergy representative (Ted Jensen) called @ 10:58am on april 3, 2018 asking to speak to manager/owner. I said they were not available that I could take a message. Ted proceeded to say that if we did not call this number within one hour( 844-281-9427) our electricity would be cut off because of our bill was past due. I asked for a reference number for the call but Ted disconnected the call. I checked with the owner and his bill was not past due and our utility provider is NOT Entergy.

This caller claimed to be Entergy company disclaiming that our address was marked for a disconnection within 30 min of their call. Ask me to call back their billing department because I refused to supply information regarding the account without discussion with my husband. I called the number back with the extension 101 and they informed me it was a different address (our home not business) that was ordered for disconnect and provided an order#. Our business has had no power since Feb 2nd due to a fire. We spoke to Entergy directly after that and they informed us they would never call us and to report the phone number.

A person called me this morning and stated he was from Entergy. He said that the service at my address (he gave me my address) was going to be turned off or disconnected. I asked him what service it was. He said "did you not receive the notice" I said no, because I don't use Entergy. and he immediately hung up

Received a call from the receptionist that Entergy was on the phone. I answered the call and was told by Stacey that I had a disconnection notice for the home on Laurel unless I pay a deposit within 24hrs of $950.00. I explained to Stacey that was impossible because we just turned the lights on at the location on Monday and was told the deposit will be $230.00 so there must be a mistake. She continued to tell me that they sent us several notices regarding the deposit and I explained to her that we never received any notices. I placed her on hold so I could get the owner to speak to them. Once they got on the phone with the owner of the company they tried to tell her we needed to pay $950 within one hour or her lights would be disconnected. She offered to pay the bill, but they wanted cash only and she had to pay it at the office located in Spring, TX. When the owner told them she was not in Spring, she resides in Beaumont which is 90mins away, that's when Brandon Jenkins (as he calls himself) told her to go to the Dollar Store and purchase some money pak cards and once she gets the money pak cards call him back @936-571-0044 ext 3504 so she could read the numbers off of the cards.

Our business was contacted the morning of March 5, 2018 by phone. The caller (foreign accent) stated that our Entergy (utility) service was going to be shut off in 30-45 minutes. I told the caller that our Entergy payments cleared our bank on 2/27, so he was lying. He told me to call (504) 262-2831 so that our service would not be disconnected. I used our 5th line to call the number. The automated answer was just like Entergy's actual answer system. I pressed '0' for the operator and a gentleman answered. I explained to him that I had received the call and that it was not legitimate, as our payments had cleared the bank on 2/27. He asked for an account number, and disconnected the call. I *69'd the 1st line that the incoming call came in on, and that number is (800) 368-3749. I contacted the local Sheriff's Department, who told me that unless money was taken/lost, they won't do anything. Thought maybe if I posted it here, by chance possibly someone would read this and not get scammed out of their money.
