I was approached by someone via kijiji pretending to offer me a job. This person was pretending to be a hiring recruiting staff member from VXI Global. He said it was a remote position for $35.00 an hour. He made me go through providing a detailed resume, and an in depth interview. Then he said the company would be mailing me a check for my office hardware and software. That never happened. When i reached out to him about why I was not in receipt of the check two weeks later, he told me the check would be instead delivered via email as an echeck. When he told me i had to deposit the check via mobile banking app and the echeck could not be deposited at the bank, this drew a huge red flag. I looked up the phone number on google and found websites containing the exact same phone number pertaining to rental housing.

This terrible guy got my hopes up and in turn I was counting on this job for incoming income. I am emberassed and very disappointed.
