Suspected Phishing Scam

I needed support for my EarthLink email and found my way to emailsupport.com. The chat attendant asked for my name and number so that he could make a ticket. A few minutes later I got a call from a supposed tech. He asked me to run dscl . list /users on terminal and to give him remote access. He then said my computer has been hacked and he needs an hour to
REMOVE ALL THE SUSPICIOUS CONNECTIONS,
CLEAN UP
TUNE UP
OPTIMIZATION
RESET EMAIL PASSWORD
INSTALL EMAIL ENCRYPTION SECURITY-
I declined to give him this. He gave his name as John Gray but he was clearly Indian.
The number he gave was 315-535-6168, and he also called from 315-535-6167. Their site gives support number as 866-235-7823. The 6167 number is a listed spammer number.

Absolute Phishing outfit

I was trying to get support for my EarthLink email and found my way to this outfit - emailsupport.com. The online chat attendant asked my name and number and then I got a call from a supposed Tech. He asked for remote access and for me to give him an hour to "FIX" my computer which he says had been hacked. I refused and asked him to call back later. He did not call but I tried to get more info from chat without response. I also called the number he gave and it was the same guy. I asked what company he was with and he hung up.
