I was seeking a TSA Office/Pre Enrollment on line. I encountered a number of companies who apparently acting as third party representatives. I selected the web site impersonating an official government service with key word being "gov." I was ask to complete general identification information and a pre-registration application. The application was paid for using my American Express card with elements normally requested when setting up payment by using a credit card. When I went back and reread the multiple sites information, I realized the Easy Gov was the only one requesting pre payment. Upon further study, I read that no agencies should request pre payment and if they did it was probably a scam.
