They claimed that I, as co-signer for my grandson’s apartment in Nashville, TN, owed a balance of over $233. They bullied me into paying it over the phone with a credit card. When I told my grandson what happened he insisted he did not leave owing the apartment complex so I then called them. They opened his account and assured me that he owed nothing and had in fact been refunded $77 upon leaving and closing his account. I then called Columbia/ Genesis and was treated horribly. I then contacted my credit card bank and they put a dispute in the charge. They were able to retrieve my money but I had to contact the so- called debt collectors again and was again talked to like I’ve never been talked to by a “ business rep” in my life trying to again bully and threaten me. Over the past six months or so they have continued to send me harassing emails. Please somehow warn others not to simply pay these people without thoroughly investigating the matter!
