An unsolicited voicemail claimed I’d won first right of refusal on a 1957 Ford Ranchero after a silent auction fell through. Catch: decision by nightfall, funds by morning. The voice promised bill of sale via overnight courier once the wire arrived. I sent the amount; the courier tracking number was never created. Reverse-lookup revealed the voicemail came from a spoofed business line at a closed gas station.
