Called me saying that I took a loan out in May 2019 from timely loans and that I was working at a general store, none of which is true. Threatened to garnish my wages and refused to give me information other than the day I “took out the loan”.

This Company has many reports of trying to SCAM people. Below is the exact message I received today.

Cardinal and SIlverman Legal Services - Threats and concealment of important Information

This goes back to December '21. They called with the same threats mentioned in previous reviews. I was told that I had an old debt. That they ae mediation services(the new name for collection agencies) After a while I acquiesced and made an offer on the $500 = that they said I owed. Upon doing my research, the debt was incurred on a card that I had from 2012-2014. Way beyond the statue of limitations , in my state. I was tricked. Now I get a call from someone names John Simmons of Silverman Legal services. Same BS I got from Cardinal. Seems suspicious, even seems like it the same place with an "updated" name. He tells me that Cardinal collected on only have of the debts I owe. He listened to the tapes of my conversation, and by settling that amount I have confessed that the "other debt" by default. I asked him to send me the audio file of the tapes. Oh can
t do that because they will be used at my g=hearing in court. Please...we are talking about a debt here of $371...which he said will grow to $1,000 at least. Please, what a dope. His phone number is 203-409-3900. SO he and Cardinal are sharing data? No way, they are one ion the same. He gave me the corporate headquarters of Silverman in Baltimore, Nope I called them at the address he gave me. I warned the Silverman firm that their name is being used in a fraudulent manner. Threats and more threats. I called him out but he has a pat answer for every hit. Having my lawyer call them tomorrow. Don't be intimidated by theses liars and crooks..

They called me and used the wrong first name. I have no ideas what the debt is. They threatened that I would be served at work or home. I am a victim of identity theft and I called the police and plan to file yet another police report about identity theft. I hung up on them and blocked their number. Scams right here at the holiday.

I received the attached voicemail advising me that I would be served court papers at my work or home. When I called the company I was told that I have an outstanding loan with Dollar Bank and owe money for payday loans. Neither is true I was screamed at cursed at

They called me today with basically the same story. Different name for the cash advance company, but everything else spot on.

I called back from a different phone number and the answered as "Orchard Bank". When I asked to talk with someone at Cardinal Legal Services he said he could transfer me, but needed my name.

I declined to identify myself and said he could transfer me to a manager there. I also requested the company mailing address, to which he said they had multiple branches but he could not provide an address.

Sarah G**** from Cardinal Legal Services called my cell phone and my work phone threatening that I will have to appear in court and that paperwork would be served to me if I did not mitigate my delinquent loan with Global Finance Lending. I asked for an address for her company and she stated that they have 48 locations and they do not give out the address because they receive threats. She stated that they were privately owned. I asked about the loan company who filed the delinquent charge and asked what subsidiary companies Global Finance Lending owned and she gave examples of Cash America, Cash Net, Cash 1. I have never taken a loan out with any of these cash advance companies nor have I been delinquent on a loan. I told her that I need to check my credit to see whether there was a lien for this account and she stated that it will not be noted on my credit because they don't file the lien until the account goes to court. I told her that I needed to look into things further that I would call her back. I called her back explaining that I spoke with my lawyer who advised me to ask for paperwork on the loan and for them to send it to my address that they have on file. She put me on hold to confirm my address then transferred me to her boss. He came on the line and said that he was informed that I didn't understand the situation at hand. I explained that I fully understood and I asked him to confirm the company that he worked for. He gave the name Cardinal Legal Services and offered, without me asking, that they could not be found online because they do not do any public legal work. I stated that they can send me the requested paper work to the address on file and then hung up.
