Pathward Bank suppose to be a bank that safeguard people money and information. I tried closing my account with Pathward Bank, which was Metabank. When I tried closing my account, they told me I need to send all types of identification to prove that I was the person who I said I was. But it wasn’t the actual bank, their call center workers were a bunch of foreigners from India and the Philippians. They told me I need to send identification and proof of address. I sent my driver license, social security card, my lease, and piece of mailing address. I called back later and these foreigners workers for Pathward Bank said it wasn’t clear and good enough, I need to send more information. I was angry and frustrated. I didn’t because they had all the proper documents to prove my identity. Two months later they still refuses to release my money and mail my check from my closed bank account. Pathward Bank, which is affiliated with Card. com services and Netspend debit card services, doesn’t respond to these requests. They extended me back to these scammers overseas, which these people barely speaks English. These people doesn’t even know, which they claim the owner of the bank they work for. Yet for two months, they been telling me “ We are escalating your situation “ . Two months of escalating with all my proper identification. Pathward bank lies and steal people money. They told me, they mailed me a replacement card, a card I never got. This is the reason I decided to close my account. They even lied to the BBB, about my documents being reviewed and approved and my check was mailed. Nothing was mailed. According to their foreign workers overseas. I suffered financial losses and hardship because of this. Thank goodness I just graduated law school. I still want my money and now they are in for a long ride. I’m not going to show them no mercy.
