I was initially contacted through my employer. My associate director was called by a company called "Capital Couriers" which left me a message stating his name was Lisa Turner. She stated that he had a two part felony complaint that was under my name and social security number (attempted to verify the last four digits). She stated the complaints will be filled in the next 24 hours and the result will be a warrant out for my detainment. I could contact him at 844-518-6711, when I called the number back a woman picked up and said how can i help you and never stated a company name until i asked. She then stated capital couriers and asked for my name which i gave. She gave me another phone number to an attorney office to call and settle the matter. The number was for a company Ford and Gellar Law Firm 844-361-8577. After speaking with Casey I was worried that i was going to be charged with two felonies for worthless check fraud. She explained to me that i had a old payday loan in September 2013 and when the check bounced it was considered fraud. While on the phone I did a google search of the company nothing came up for either. I searched on ScamPulse.com and nothing came up. I called them back and asked for the address which they hesitated and put me on hold and got disconnected, I called back and the same thing. I called back once again and this time asked for their Attorney registration number. I was told that they don't have to give me anything. I then heard a noise and got disconnected once again. I called the Capital Courier company back and told them about what i found and they defended the attorneys and became rude and hung up the phone on me. Neither of the companies had websites.
