I saw an ad for my usual Bombas compression socks on Instagram, clicked the link and ordered 4 pairs of socks - 3 Women's Small knee-high 20-30mmHg compression socks in various colors, and 1 Men's Large 20-30mmHg Burgundy compression socks. I received an order confirmation, then a shipping confirmation with tracking from China, which made me suspicious since I have ordered from Bombas before and they are shipped in the US. I received 4 pairs of black and white mid-ankle length socks labeled "Bombas Ankle Socks" in a generic plastic mailer (the retailer/manufacturer always ships in their own brand-labeled mailer), with no return-option slip inside. I attempted to contact the seller via the email provided and received a generic "We are out of town" email in return. I have also contacted the manufacturer (Bombas) directly to warn them of the scam, as well as am in the process of filing a claim through my credit card company.
