Type of a scam: Debt Collections

12/13/16 - Received a cell phone call from Alexander Nichols who indicated he had a court case (and provided a number) pending for a pay day loan from BMG. I never heard of them and he said they have several entities they work with. He had the last 4 of my ssn and a bank I used 5 or so years ago. Said I never repaid a loan and that they have sworn statements rom BMG and that bank that I received the money. I told him to send the info to me so I could review it as I didn't think this was legit. He said once I tell him if I am willing to settle or if I was contesting he would. Said there was a total of $1421 and something else for $3726 but if I paid them $696 today they would stop the court proceedings. I told him I would not provide any information over the phone, to please give me a website to go to. He said again he would after I told him if I agreed to pay this. He started getting snippy. I asked him to give me the website and I would make the necessary payments. He got mad and said "well good luck to you. see you in court" and hung up. He tried calling back twice but I would not answer.
