Type of a scam: Employment

Replied to a CL ad for part time employment "Real Estate Photographer Needed!" Huletz Real Estate Group emailed me back with detailed instructions for how they wanted their photos taken and how the whole operation works. Also attached to their email was an independent contractor contract form which I was to sign ("before I could receive any assignments"), and a W-9 Form to fill out and return via email or fax. I googled the company name and all seemed legitimate. Their email stated that I would be receiving additional training tips as well as login information to their system for uploading photos. I returned the filled out forms (with my SSN!!) and sent them back by email attachment. Then I received an email asking which areas I could cover. At this point the emails seemed less professional and made me wonder if I was dealing with someone who just wanted to steal my identity. I tried calling the phone number and only get a voicemail recording. I have not received any further emails.
