Microsoft Defender popup came up while checking email which locked up my computer, but provided a phone number. I called and got convinced I had been hacked, could not use my phones, and all of my retirement funds were at risk. Further I had to encrypt funds to protect them. It was a sophisticated scam and scared me, and everything was a lie! "Bitcoin Depot" machines were used at Marathon station at 8010 Brandt Pike, Huber Heights, OH, and a Shell station at 1650 Woodman Dr., Riverside, OH. Police and FBI have been contacted and notified me that this is a very common scheme, further that the State Attorney General is investigating all businesses involved and the bitcoin ATMs are a big part of this scam. My lesson for all, they don't get your money unless they force or coerce you into giving it to them.
