This is the whole text message. I did not press the underlined number to be connected with them as nothing added up and appeared to be a scam when I checked the number on google.

GOD FORBID-DON'T CALL THEM.
IDENTITY THEFT.
It was a realistic looking banking website asking for a 5 or so stage identification verification including uploading photo ID of passport, driver license, etc.
It had some of my information already.
Looked legit.
Didn't give them what they wanted and called my bank who said it's fraud and my account was fine.
Had to open all new accounts. Cancel old ones.
Bank said they'll NEVER text like that.
ALWAYS call number on back of your card FIRST.
Hope they're prosecuted before anyone gets scammed.

I don't have a BOA account
Caller requested a callback when we got the money together and to tell us how to send it to the IRS. Also requested my social security number, which I received to provide. Caller did have the last 4 digits of my SS#.
