AT&T advertisement for the 5G coverage is a dishonest and false!
AT&T persuades Verizon & T-Mobile customers to switch to AT&T wireless by presenting a false 5G map coverage!
I'm one of them, a customer who was assured by AT&T agent at Costco booth that AT&T 5G coverage is fantastic and works much better than Verizon. Guess what, it does NOT work!
AT&T map shows the best 5G+ coverage at my work location at Point Mugu in 93042 zip code.
Check it out for yourself before you attempt to switch to AT&T.
My Samsung S23 phone shows the best signal-strength but it does NOT connect to any AT&T towers near by!
It does NOT allow switching to 4GLTE mode either. After a few seconds it displays "No Internet Connection".
Basically, I paid for a cheap AT&T walky-talky because it has absolutely no data download capability.

I contacted AT&T customer service to inquire about how much their internet service would cost. They transferred me to sales and they told me they needed to check to see if I qualified for a discount based on my social security number and date of birth which would be safeguarded and would not be shared with anyone. A few minutes later, they told me I was qualified and needed approval to create my new account and send a technician to install the modem. I told them that I'd need to check with my spouse first before anything could be started. As soon as I hung up the phone, I received emails from AT&T about the date/time the technician would come out to install and review my order. I called AT&T customer service back and they told me I'd spoken with their third-party sales and they were sorry for the misunderstanding. They also said the third-party sales department had no affiliations with AT&T company and that I should have known better to give out my personal information like SSN and date of birth to a stranger. I felt betrayed and led wrong. I've heard people complaint about AT&T services but now I see why.
