I was contacted by an individual named Amanda Rhodes, Director of Human Resources for Advent Health offering me a position in their company. Everything she was stating sounded legit up until the 'first training day' where she stated that new hires were required to purchase $500.00 gift cards daily for employee bonuses. She asked for my credit card information to be able to deposit my bonuses so I can purchase the gift cards online. Then when I became suspicious, she started veering away from my questions and not wanting to do a video chat to discuss things further. Initially I filled out an application which included my social security number. All interactions were through Microsoft Teams.
