Contacted me via text about getting hired as Appointment Setter, then had me email them. They told me to start contacting them via teams where they sent a link for me to fill a questionnaire. They said they would review the information and for me to be available the next day at 7am. They congratulated me and had me sign an offer letter then they told me to start my training, I would be emailed a check (fraudulent) to purchase work equipment. They had me digitally deposit the check and wanted me to send screenshots to see if the funds deposited. The bank would not release the funds and they were on hold. I told them I couldn’t get them released and would contact my bank. They then stated that I needed to purchase the equipment and I would be reimbursed. I told them I could not do that and that’s when they said “kindly wait for more information” and never got back to me.

Text message about a job offer. Received correspondence through Microsoft Teams and email, received an offer letter, completed onboarding, was sent a check to deposit for office supplies. Bank manager thought it looked fishy, found a Reddit post about it being a scam. Reported on ScamPulse.com.
