Left a voicemail saying I purchased the new iPhone 17 Max for $3,499.99 and to call them back to cancel the transaction if I thought the charge was fraudulant.

I got a voicemail on my federal government phone stating my "Amazon account had been pre-authorized for the purchase of a MacBook and iPhone 17 Max Pro in the amount of $3499" and if I did not authorize the purchase, to call the phone number provided. Since Amazon doesn't "pre-authorize" purchases and I do not have an Amazon account associated with my work phone number, plus it was not a 1-800 number, it was easy to identify the call as an attempted scam.
