The mailing is made to look like a check: it has the tear-away sides and inside is a “Renewal Fee Voucher” for $199.00. It’s not a check: its an attempt to get you sign up for a home warranty. They list the lender as Santander Bank. Although it was sent to my address, the addressee was someone else with no history of ownership of my property. Furthermore, there is no mortgage from Santander Bank or anything else associated with my property.

I received a 'final renewal notice' letter in mid-March but hadn't received any earlier correspondence. The scammer claimed postcards were mailed in mid-January and mid-February. The scammer claimed my current home warranty was no longer valid and tried to sell me a 'long-term' coverage for $4000 over three years. There was no return address listed, but the scammer told me they were based in California when asked.

I received a letter in the mail regarding my property's home warranty. In its wording the letter was attempting to create a sense of urgency stating my home warranty was expiring. The letter has my previous lender's name. The letter did not list any website, email or physical address for the company only a 1-800 number. There was a "voucher" attached to the letter valued in $199. The letter also included an old Google maps image of my home. I could not find any information for this company online only warnings about warranty scams.
