Called a fake insurance number and my card was used at Walmart
She asked me for my card number and the expiration date. Then she proceeded to give more detailed information about the insurance and requested the three digits on the back of the card. I provided them, and then she said that the transaction did not go through and that another department would contact me by mail requesting verification in order to issue my policy.
Today, 3/3/26, I received a call from Walmart to verify an order placed with my card for $250. I said no. I contacted my bank and canceled my card. I also contacted GEICO and reported the incident.
I hope they take action on the matter and locate the person who took my information to shop at Walmart.
