Suspicious text about health policy outstanding balance
When I called the number provided and explained the text I had received, the woman on the other end of the line asked "are you over 65?" which was an odd thing to ask off the bat. There was background noise that sounded as though maybe there was a dog in the area. She did not identify herself or the company she was calling on behalf of. She did not know my name (companies attempting to collect debt typically address you by name and confirm they are speaking to the right person). She asked for my name, and when I told her I was not comfortable identifying myself to someone who had not identified themselves, she immediately took an attitude, said "what would anyone even do with your name anyway?" and hung up.
