They have repeatedly sent me pink pieces of paper with identifying information (name, address, make, model and year of my vehicle). The pink piece of paper has a phone number 1-888-582-6870 and says that has, in large text, the words Motor Vehicle Notification. Below that is text that says that I must call the phone number to ensure that I do not have a lapse in coverage.

I was sent a notice that the warranty for a car that I recently purchased is about to expire, even though the warranty was included when I made financial arrangements with the dealer for car payments. I have a scanned copy of the letter, which I can send to you if you tell me how to submit it in association with this report. It is one of several that I have received in the past few weeks.

They have been shrewd enough not to specify any return address, but they do include a telephone number, which should be sufficient for you to track them down. When I contacted the manager who set up my car payments to confirm that warranty is included in the terms of the loan, he told me that scam letters like this one are very common.
