As I was searching for on-line maps, pop-ups took over my screen. I could not control even my cursor. The pop-ups said that my computer had been compromised and I needed to call Microsoft tech service at 18779168312. Jerry Charles claimed to be a tech for Microsoft and gave an ID # MS185304. He directed me to AnyDeskID (1431252863) to find my IP address, and soon was running a program which he claimed showed 89 hackers with access to my computer. He gave me a call back # 8334440045 then turned me over to his supervisor Mark. This man asked me questions such as do I do "any banking or other money transactions on my computer" and "was my car connected to my cell phone." Mark told me I needed to go to Walgreens and buy a security card. He said he would stay on the phone with me while went. This is when I hung up. He called me back 3 times from 18653024430 in Rutledge, TN. Both men had foreign (Indian?) accents though Mark's was less pronounced. They both used 'fear' tactics such as the 89 hackers and urgency of doing whatever they said to prevent further compromising my information.
