I was texted stating that I had authorized a transaction through Capital One to a Sharon Roberts, and if I did not authorize this transaction, to text no. When I did, they said someone would contact me directly, and they did. They used the names Jackson Hunter and Michael Holligan. They didn’t ask to share my phone, but I did not provide any personal information. When I shared my phone, they wanted me to indicate my address, and that’s when I thought this was fraud because they said they were Capital One and that it was a personal loan request attached to my bank. I then called the bank. Nothing was pending to be transferred out, and then I notified Capital One. Capital One told me to report the fraud.
