Jason McBridge (Craigslist email moniker. * Name maybe McBridge, McBride or Bridge or Bridges -or none of these. Perp to send me a bank check sent via USPS Priority Mail. Rcvd check from Honda Hayward in the amount of $1,980. (Return address false: ABC-AMEGA INC, 500 Buffalo, NY 14204. Contacted customer service of company and their response: "Thank you for sharing this information. We are aware of this and have alerted the authorities. It appears someone is misusing our return address. The contents of the envelope are not from ABC-Amega, Inc. Best regards, Richard J. Rayer, Senior Client Services Specialist") Jason said that the delivery company requested payment up front and I was to send $1,530.00 via Western Union (tracking no.: 028-788-8349) to Christina Duran, Midland, TX 79703. Note: all correspondence was via texting. eventually I received his email acct: . Didn't hear back so I text him. He said that They decided not to move to superior and the shipping company refunded to HIM (MY $1,530.00)he went on to say that he wanted the money that he sent me for the cost of the item. Considering the WU costs which I subtracted I sent to him via WU to Christina Duran (Tracking number: 127-349-5571) which I did. On 26 Aug 2017 I received from my bank, NBC, a letter saying that the check from Honda Hayward in the amount of $1,980 was returned. I contacted 'Jason' telling him of the situation and that he was in possession of $1,980.00 of MY money and I wanted him to send me a legitimate check in that amount ASAP. He came back and asked me to whom should the check be made out to to which I replied David Frederick Schmidt, which I considered a good sign. I have not heard or received anything as of this date, 29 Aug 2017.
