I ordered a recliner from Wayfair and paid to have it assembled. The man who assembled it, didn’t do it correctly. I contacted Wayfair, assuming it would do the RIGHT THING, and arrange for him to return to assemble it properly. Customer service ALLEGEDLY forwarded my call to the department that handles these matters. The man asked all kinds of questions despite it being a fairly minor fix. The next thing I knew, he remotely accessed my PC. I immediately checked my bank account and found several BOGUS PAYMENTS to PayPal. I DO NOT HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT. My debit card had to be cancelled AND my bank CLOSED MY ACCOUNT using an abundance of caution. Wayfair REFUSED to refund MY MONEY, including the amount I paid to have it IMPROPERLY ASSEMBLED. That was 2 months ago, the chair, that now disgusts me, remains improperly assembled. The [censored] put two parts on backwards. My area of expertise is being an attorney, not furniture assembly. I’m still out OVER $1,000 and intend to sue the FRAUDS.

On August 31 I was on FB and saw a ad from Wayfair and to me I thought it was legit so I went on there to see what they had and came across a dresser for husband to use for our room, it cost me 48.00 USD which on my CAD be 65.05 roughly it show Active on the order waiting to be shipped so this status been like this for 6 days so when thinking it is wayfair company so I called it and talk to someone gave them the ordered number etc it was not listed and told their order numbers are different but she advise me to go to my bank ask them to get my money back and show my bank all the screen shot of everything I have and the email I was asked by Wayfair to the customer service depth so they can have reports...I also went on FB to report all ads regarding This scammers and also seeing it is not the only company they are trying to be they also been pretend to be Bath & Bed Beyond.

I clicked on an ad for counter stools on FB Marketplace and was brough to what looked like a Wayfair website. I didn’t notice the web address at the bottom of the page was listed as Shippingus.com instead of Wayfair.com. I purchased by credit card but had exited out and gone back in a second time to complete the purchase. I became suspicious when I received an email from “Furnitures” about my incomplete order but no purchase confirmation email after I made the purchase. The $39 stools were actually $319 on Wayfair. A quick google search warned that Shippingus was a scam company stealing cc info. I called my credit card company and the charge had not gone through yet so I reported my card compromised and they cancelled it. Luckily I didn’t get charged but too bad they got my full name, address, wmail and phone number… Receipt looked to be a Wayfair receipt.

Seriously, I want to cry after reading this. I ordered dressers for my 3 daughters off of this website, Wayfair off Facebook, turned into Shippingus, and I got the same email from "Furnitures" which took me to an account with my orders that said "active" and "Not yet shipped" for over a week and I started trying to contact them and all of a sudden my email from them was gone, the website cannot be found, and I can't get my money back. This is sad, what the world has come to. Raising children to be good people in a world where you literally can't trust ANYTHING is impossible.

Selling furniture using wayfairs name.

I was exciting in getting the deal and the price was great. Did it thru paypal got email confirmation of payment and also email of person. Receipt of from paypal and all. A week passed emailed the person and email was not useable. Was disconnected . The persons email: [email protected]

I found a sale for patio chairs on Facebook. I looked up the website online and it came up as Wayfair, which I have purchased from before. I placed the item in my cart and it came up with my credit card info and sent a code to my phone which led me to believe it was connected to my Wayfair account. When I ordered, however, I did not get an email receipt. I immediately contacted my credit card company but I cannot dispute the transaction until it posts.

I waited a week to receive an email about a chair I bought on this imposter website, posing as Wayday, a part of Wayfair. I am reporting this to my bank as a fraudulent imposter. The site is still up and running as https://www.popoii.com. BEWARE!

I am just scammed by RECLINERSSOFAS.com posing as Wayfair. I purchased a chair and 2 ottoman’s. Ben Tanzer is the payee. The so called delivery is out of Scranton, PA. Fighting with PayPal for refund. The scammer provided a Priority tracking number. Thing is Priority Mail will not ship items over 50lbs. It has to be shipped ground. These scammers send flower seeds or other cheap items to show delivery. I am fighting with PayPal. I have also reported to the FBI Cyber Crimes unit. Doubt they will do anything but if enough people report maybe? As bad as it is losing money, I am so livid that these scammers get away with this. I will not let this go! I am retired and will spend all day reporting these thieves.

Almost purchased one of these fireplaces from a Facebook site. When I clicked on the link, it took me to a Wayfair imposter site. After reading the comments, I clicked on the profiles, and none of the commenters were legit. Thankfully I didn’t fall for the scam!

I was scammed. I fell for it like an [censored]. I'm out 69.99 so it's not the end of the world I guess. There was a FB post and I read a bunch of good comments that must be fake. It was a legit-looking Wayfair website and I just trusted it. I hope they can't get any more of my money though. I guess I just wait and see.

I ordered a TV 75 inch plus dum [censored] me should have known that it was a scam I ordered about two months now I check on the routing # that on the computer it says it has been delivered, and you can't get a hold of anybody and dum [censored] me ordered a tool box same thing, but it said it was to ma. Not Arkansas, all I can say is don't order off Facebook.

Just a heads up for you guys who use Wayfair.com for purchases. There is a Variant site out there using the Wayfair page to make a legit looking Wayfair site ,The only thing is when you look at the small print its call Wayfairy.com . I would suspect this is a non legit clone site so watch it .

On the Facebook marketplace when I saw an ad from Wayfair regarding a big clearance sale. I clicked on the link and the website had the Wayfair name and logo at the top of the page. I placed an order through Paypal and it showed up as an individual's name, receiving the payment, not Wayfair. Tried to cancel the order through Paypal within a couple of hours of the order. I even sent Paypal a link to the order confirmation, showing the Wayfair name on the top with logo. Paypal refused to cancel the order even though there are other similar stories on this site where the consumer contacted Paypal and they refused to cancel the order with the obvious Wayfair Imposter website, I find it more disturbing that Paypal is siding with the Wayfair imposter company even though there is a pattern of scamming consumers that have complained to them about it.

I received a "flash sale" notice from what appeared to be Wayfair. Having purchased from them before, I knew what to expect. However my receipt for payment came from an individual, not Wayfair No tax was added. All seemed suspicious. I then went to Wayfair and researched, finding nothing there. They had not originated the sale not received an order or payment for the item. It was not them.
Scammed by someone posing as Wayfair online.

I purchased something through wayfair but the person selling was an imposter. I contacted wayfair and gave them my invoice number, the tracking number, my phone number and email address that I used to order my item but nothing was in their system. I’m so tired of these stupid [censored] scammers.

It was on Facebook market place. Add stating it was a flash sale from wayfair. Ordered a couch for 79 dollars it was originally something like 600. Got a receipt in a foreign language. Went to the site to check on my order and ot had a temporarily closed message.

Login page has Wayfair logo and claims to be a closeout store

I made my purchase (dumb) and immediately tried to cancel it when I got a receipt stating that I just paid Cathy Cole via Paypal. I filed a fraud report with my credit card company and cancelled the card. That was on April 11th and nothing has been settled between Cathy Cole and Citi Visa
