FRAUD ALERT. I got scammed and the scammers in this case were impersonating Expedia. The initial phone number used for the scam is as follows- 888-408-4775. This phony phone number has been setup online as Expedia customer service and that is how I fell victim. The scammer stole my credit card information by impersonating Expedia and other identifiable information and the charge on my credit card has this phone number 855-430-7292. located in TX. and the merchant name ( Hotel Cancellations)

The appears to be a criminal ring who have setup bunch of websites and phony phone numbers targeting travelers and impersonating Expedia or Airline company.

I later received an email from this email [email protected] and phone number is as follows-1-(888) 354-0246.

The phone numbers 1-(888) 354-0246.,855-430-7292,- 888-408-4775 are all tied together setup to commit fraud and targeting travellers.

My credit card information and identity was stolen by this crooks

I looked up Expedia customer service on the internet and unknowingly called this fake number. The scammers posed as Expedia customer service and said they could refund my 2 qty. unused flights if I paid a cancellation fee of $990. I asked for a receipt for this transaction and for the flight credit numerous times and finally they sent one after calling them several times. The email looked suspicious with the [email protected] in the email address then I realized I was being scammed! Expedia confirmed this number was not theirs nor was this cancellation fee in the system. I am currently working on disputing the false charge with my bank.
