You can see a trail of companies that go out of business and it is always VIP Global that supposedly picks up the pieces for an "Activation" fee. I already paid for the vacation prior ,but they are so sorry that company is out of business... even though there was no notification of that business closing. Also the "out of business" website is up and running. And the websites are all the same with the same reservation page, just a different company name and branding.
Too many details to this scam to write out but just know that after you pay for original vacation package, you can never book. Then before they have availability the company supposedly goes out of business. VIP Globe comes in and wants an additional $595 to re-activate my $1299 package but this time i have to go to a new resort in an area way outside of Puerto Vallarta. Not where I want to be and I don't trust that VIP Globe won't go out of business.
Check out the websites that all look alike.

I am posting this to try and help other people from being scammed. I usually pride myself on being able to tell a scam (and have never fallen for one), but last year I had a company call me from "Costco Travel" and they sold me a vacation package. They called themselves Luxury Resort Destinations https://www.luxuryresortdestinations.net/ I tried for MONTHS to make a reservation, but there was always an excuse as to why they couldn't make one. When I thought I finally had one, the resort said there was no reservation under my name. A week after I disputed this with my credit card, a new company called VIP Globe https://vipglobe.net/ said that Luxury Resort Destinations was out of business and they had acquired their clientele. They said I had 24 hours to reactive my package, but they wanted more money. I would not give them more money, and they never responded to my emails. I saw that VIP Globe has many other complaints against them (saying other companies went out of business, VIP Globe took them over, and asked for more money). It makes me said that Chase won't help me more with this dispute. Even though the package said it was nonrefundable, I NEVER received the services, and sent in many, many pages of proof of my efforts to make a reservation and never received the services promised. It is obviously a scam. I hope that they consider this in the future and can try to help others from being scammed. I have reported it to the FTC, BBB, and the government. I will continue to be vocal about this company. I will continue to fight this scamming company from scamming others and me as much as I can. Others, there are so many scams out there. Won't be falling for this again.

I purchase one I think back in 2015 one of those vacation trips that they are selling it for low cost, but you are obligated to listen to a two hour Timeshare presentation. My husband was really against this trip and was pushing me to cancell. There is no cancellation option so I continue trying to make this work. The company that sold it to me went out of business. The new one came and ask me to pay $300 to activate my account. I fold for it. Then it happened again with the out of business and again I was asked to pay something to reactivate it or I need to book right away. I decided this time to really make it work. I chose the resort, they confirmed it and I booked the Flights. I booked my flights in October, 2023. In early January 2024, I got an email that the resort that I have confirmation was sold and I need to choose another one. I called and was really upset and ask them again for a refund. I explained that this is not what I signed for. If someone really wants to buy a timeshare, wouldn't it matter what resort they stay? Anyway the other resorts does not have availability for my dates or does not accept kids. Therefore I have only the option to change my tickets, which are not changeable and non refundable. Any advise? How can we stop this company continue exploiting people and enriching themselves on shady business practices.

I am so hurt and angry that I fell for this scam big time. I bought two trips for both of my daughters and their children. I thought that it would be a nice opportunity for them to spend time together with their families. I got the notification that the company has gone out of business and in order to get those two trips two adults would need to travel to Puerto Vallarta first etc. And now I have read the same story by others who were scammed. Only schedule trips through reputable companies like American Express.

I purchased a package in 2017, tried to cancel, and could not. Tried to activate the package and I couldnt. Called, emailed numerous times with no response, then covid happened after Covid restrictions was lifted I started to get calls about the package and how I could activate it and save the vacations I already paid for. To do this I had to pay $499.00 USD within 24 hours, this happened over a period of 6 months I would get these calls, telling me I had 24 hours to pay up or lose the vacations.. I refused to pay another dime and they were very rude and insulting. I still continued to say no. The last call I got I literally cussed out the guy and told them keep the vacations and don't call me again. Havent heard from them in several months.. Today November 10th I received the email below... There is obviously no way to retrieve funds already spent... but PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ANOTHER PENNY TO THESE SCAMMERS... Todays date is November 10, 2023

VIP GLOBE is a scam. Be aware. I purchased a package for $800+ from Resort Discovery in 2017 and tried to reverse the charge on my credit card and it was denied. When I tried to activate the package to schedule the vacation, my calls and emails were not answered. Now in 2023 they emailed me to pay an additional $517 to now “activate” my package. Their excuse for not communicating before is that resort discovery went out of business. Total scam. Please be aware!

No they can't do.. if they can save my 3 vacay plus 1 in Vallarta then why can't they just give me a 1-2day vacation for my $499? When i ask for his name the answer been: Why do you collect my info---Fed Garcia--of course will be a fake name .. People stay away from them and Donate your money some were else!

Dammit, I got scammed. These [censored] sounded legit when I bought my 1st vacation in September of 2021 and just in April of 23' they said the company was being sold off but the new company would honor my vacation if I'd spend $571 with them and then I'd have 3 vacations. Do not waste your time with them unless you put in the energy to track them down and serve them justice.

We had purchased a vacation package from another company that theses guys apparently bought out. Due to Covid19 we couldn’t use the trips. So now we get an email from VIP Globe telling us we have 3 days to pay another $571 USD or we lose all of our money. Also they won’t give us back our $999 USD that we originally paid They shouldn’t be able to rip off people. This is disgusting. Who can afford this

I received an email saying "FINAL OFFER"
I was scammed by the previous travel company of $1200USD...
They sound like they care and want to give you an opportunity ti take a trip but then need a re-activation fee of $571USD plus $249USD? Marsha who I spoke with was
not a good agent which reflects on the company...stay away from them!

+6

Sold me a group of vacation packages that I supposedly have 9 years to use. I used one in 2021 and got an email today to call and "reactivate" my package. Then they asked for another $550. I refused and the "agent" became abusive and quite ride then hung up on me when I called him out. He identified himself as "Jason Jones" and claimed to be the agent and then also the supervisor.

But you did get to use one vacation from them? So they are legit, just a ripoff and terrible customer service?
