Type of a scam Employment

Received an email about an interview for a job I didn’t apply for. The email said they found my resume on ZipRecruiter. The email had a pdf attached with a link to Microsoft Teams and some reference number you had to give them. They say the interview is conducted via Teams chat because the hiring managers 'do several interviews at once.' I was a little suspicious at that point, but the company is a legit company, so I went with it. The guy's English was good for the most part (occasional awkward grammar), which again a little suspicious, but the company is based in Germany so I chalked it up to maybe not his first language. Sent a bunch of standard interview questions to answer, but he didn’t ask for anything you can’t get off a Google search. Said he would send the interview to HR and get back to me. 'Hired' me two hours later; sent an email with the offer letter and the I-9 form. When I specifically asked about job responsibilities (data entry clerk, something I'm supposedly "very qualified" for despite never working that type of job), he ignored it and asked when I could get the paperwork back to them. The offer letter also lists no job duties or responsibilities. I've given some pushback about the hours required, but he's been receptive, stating he'd take it to HR and get back to me. No emails used have been relating to the company itself. I checked LinkedIn and the actual company for job openings, and there aren't any listed for the US (they have branches here, but the parent company is in Germany).

Thank you so much for posting. I just experienced the exact same experience. Do not trust this company. It is sad that scammers will lower themselves to such a pathetic level.
