My bank notified me that VERIZON*BACKUPPMNTAGMT was trying to take $446.90 out of my account via debit card. My account is current and I have verified with Verizon that they are not trying to take that amount since my balance is $0.00

I received an alert from my bank saying that VERIZON*BACKUPPMNTAGMT tried to make a purchase of $2,719.78 without my permission. Thankfully, I had my card turned off so it didn't go through, but I had to request a new card from my bank just in case the scammers tried to do it when my card is turned on. I called Verizon to make sure they didn't do it and they said they didn't even have my card on file or anything showing I owed anything to them. They told me to be sure to contact my bank.

The bank send me an email, stating that Verizon BackupPmntAgmt tried to make a purchase for 1,152.08 dollars without my permission. I never gave Verizon consent for any such purchase.
