Vehicle Services Division / Richard Thomas alias Auto Warranty Mail Phishing Scam Reports & Reviews (4)

This scam uses an egregious amount of personal data to seem legitimate and is "signed" (in a laughable "handwriting style" font) by a real person's name and title that they clearly just looked up on LinkedIn to find a random person in the auto industry. That doesn't seem smart to me to double the fraud using a real person that works for a totally different company.

FYI, if a company is called something like "Private & Confidential," it's a scam. Why would they give you a 1-800 number but not tell you the company name?

Report this formally to the FTC to help get traction to stop it.

Purchased my new car a month ago. Received this letter in the mail. Knowing what warranties I purchased I was curious what this was. Called the number and it says its Phoenix Protective. I purchased wheel/tire warranty. I hung up and headed to google lol

I have received a letter for time sensitive information stations for car warranty for vehicle I’ve purchased about month ago. Stating I have to call this number at 1-800-637-4819 before 11/19/2024 or offer for warranty may be declined. I’ve called the number and they wanted money up front on a month to month basis of 98 bucks.

Received "Final Notice" mail from "Vehicle Services Division" with barcode, Customer ID ("YZA4514065") and "call by" date. It asked me to call a 1-800 number with VIN and current mileage. It has operating hours at the bottom with times, phone numbers, and a different number listed under "Se Habla Español" (1-800-813-6261)
