I keep receiving calls from this number saying suspicious activity was found on my Amazon account and my order for $749.99 was put on hold. I don’t have an Amazon account and never ordered anything from Amazon in my life so this is obviously a scam. The number they continue to call from is local to me and is +1 (386) 290-7470.

Everyday I get more than 10 calls from the same group. The recording states that it is a health insurance policy and that they will help me keep the policy. Once, I stay on the line for the next available customer preservative the call either drops or does not allow me to speak with someone. I have tried to dial back and the recording says the number is not in service. Multiple numbers are as follows.

These people called me saying they are from the Student Loan Forgiveness Center with the US Dept of Education. I have overdue loans but I am consolidating with the real company designated by the US Dept which I verified. When they called they wanted more and more personal information. When I asked who they were, they simply hung up on me. When I called back and told the "receptionist" that the other person was unprofessional and hung up on me, then she hung up on me. When I called back it went to voicemail to leave a voicemail but the mailbox is full. This is clearly a group of people scamming people on past due student loans and obtaining personal information.

On May 31, 2018 at 5:00 pm I received a call from a private number. I was expecting a prior Dr.'s call and was not sure who may try to reach me and answered same call. A women (possible Asian sounding) responded by asking "Is this Raymond?" at which time i responded with Raymond Speaking" Who is this? at which time the caller abruptly hung up.

My concern "Is this a known scam"? If so what can I do to combat it? I just recently had my Debit card compromised and if this is a known breech how do i fight it.

My business recently had a customer come in claiming to have received a phone call from our fax number. He said he answered the line, because it came up with our business number. He said when he answered the phone it was a "robotic" voice telling him he was selected to be a candidate for debt relief/consolidation. He said he hung the phone up as soon as he realized it was a scam.

two guys came to the door to get insurance information to get windshields on our cars repaired for free. I had to tell them to leave several times before they finally did. They had purple and yellow lanyards with a laminated tag that they woudn't let me get a good look at. walked them away and checked my cars' windshields to be sure they hadn't messed with them. Beware. Nothing is ever free (if nothing else this would be a claim against the car insurance and possibly raise rates).

I don't know who to report suspiscious phone calls I've getting on my cell phone.. Its a male claiming that someone who I don't know has a complaint against and that unknown person will be reported to the "proper authorities". its ben close to 6 or 7 times in 3 days this person has called from 2 different phone numbers leaving multiple messages.

The exact message being left every time is:

"Hello. My name is Michael ***. I am calling in regards to a complaint filed against Janet *** (pronounced W***e). If you have any information as to the whereabouts of Janet Ouija please contact our office at 833-221-0241 or the next step will be reporting you to the proper authorities."

Please just make them stop.

They called me up and was trying to pedal some senior benefits. I had to stop him twice because he ignored my initial question which was "how old do you think I am?" He finally replied 55 "I said that's interesting" (I am not 55) his response was "*** you, you mother ***." I replied in kind and he hung up. Definitely had a middle eastern accent. I tried to call back but got a busy signal. Probably calling some poor old soul who is to old to think for themselves. The vultures.

I received a call from the number listed above. It came through as a cell phone number on my caller i.d. Once I answered the phone they said "Is this Lorie", before thinking I replied "Yes it is" and they immediately hung up.

I kept calling the number back and finally someone picked up and said they do not know exactly what is going on but they are getting a lot of calls from different people that he has never called. He believed that someone hacked his phone number and he said that he reached out to Verizon but they could not do anything.
