United Address Update Reports & Reviews (50)

I googled `USPS address change` and https://www.unitedaddressupdate.com is the first result popped up. The website design looks like USPS official address change and so I input my address change request and credit card information. Then I was charged $89 for it (where the actual USPS would only charge less than $2)

Decided to update my address before being fully out of the old house and googled “change of address” and clicked a link that I thought was usps. Well I was wrong and noticed there was nothing telling me how much I was charge so I checked my bank app and sure enough, I was charged 89.95!!!

Website scam found on Google ad when searching for "UPSP mail forwarding" the website link was first and the website mimics the offical UPSP mail forwarding site. There is no contact information, only an webpage where more information is obtained (name, email, address, phone). They attempted to charge $89.95 to my credit card after I filled out the fake change of address form and clicked submit. My credit card company block the transition, which is how I learned it was a scam. This website should be removed!

They pretend to be the USPS when you want to change your address. They do not tell you how much you will be charged, but then quickly take $79.95 out of your account. There is no way to contact them to get your money back.

The website poses as the USPS website. Everything looks normal, I filled out the form and put in my credit card information, similar to the actual USPS website. But it charges $80 and does not actually provide the services it says - my address is still not updated and now I'm out $80. No contact information or confirmation email.

I was certain that I was on the USPS Change of Address page, and I paid what I thought was the $1.05 charge. When I checked my account, moments later, it was $79.95! I reported this to my credit card company, but according to their fraud standards, it is not fraud until I have followed all of the merchants cancellation procedures; if the money is not returned then, they will consider it as fraud.

Curiously, the credit card companies are able to trace where the charge was made, but will not release it. Probably need to report this to the Postal Inspectors, and the State Attorney General, who have the power to subpoena the credit card company for the trace.

This scam is much like the robo-call scams. So sad; I'm mad!

I went to google and typed in "USPS forwarding" and their website was the first link. I didn't think I would have to double-check what I was doing. They make the website look a lot like the USPS page and in their fine print, say that they are charging you $1.05 to verify your identity. I only noticed that it was not the USPS page when I saw that I was charged $79.95.

Nowhere on any of their pages and at no time before or during 'checkout' do they tell you that they are charging you far more than $1.05.

You cannot conact them through their web form. The page, after a thorough examination is obviously fraud--it has typos and incorrect words in the fine print which is probably an attempt at a copy/paste from the USPS page.

There is not contact number listed only a form that is likely not being sent anywhere.

When going through the website it only ever mentions the price of mail forwarding for the USPS. Once you put it in all of your info it brings you to a page to put in your credit card the submit button is right under this only in small print at the bottom of the website pass all of this is there a mention to there own fee of $80.

The website itself looks like the usps and when being brought to the website you don't see the websites own name unless you manually scroll up.

The whole website is a bait and switch especially considering from googles own page it only ever mentions the usps and targets anybody who's not double checking the website link

Poses as the USPS to change your address. Makes their website look very similar to the USPS website. Asks for a credit card with no explanation of fees to be charged. Just says they need it to verify identity(which USPS does as well and charge a 1.05 fee) this website however, ends up charging a $79.95 fee without any authorization.

The site ends in .org/ so I assumed it was legit.. My bad.. it was an address change and asked to verify my identity just as the USPS does with a credit card

USPS only charge 1.05 to change online. This website had no monetary amount visual or in the verbage

I used the United Change of Address website thinking it was the USPS website. They ended up charging me 100.00 to do a change of address instead of the 1.00. There is a very small disclaimer that I didn't read, but there is no mention of how much they will charge. There is also no way to contact them.

I thought they were the United State Postal Service... They were not!

Fake USPS address change website. It is the first sponsored site on Google when you type in "USPS change of address" and I realized too late that is was not the official site, since they charged me $79.95

Filed for a change in moving services from this website, got an $80 charge on my credit card. Realized this was off, googled and realized I had gotten scammed. Also have not seen any email confirmation or confirmation of a request for refund from the company.

This website poses as the USPS official address update site and then charges $80 vs. the actual $1.05 the USPS charges.

Do not use United Address Change Update. They offer to change your address like you can do through USPS for $1. At the end of the form, it asks for credit card information to “verify the identity”. It does not inform the person of a charge that will be made (or the amount). Once you click submit, they charge $80. The website has no contact information.

Searched for USPS address forwarding and clicked on what I thought was the link. The scam was the actual website.

These sites always pop up at the very front of an internet research for change of address. The websites always look and sound similar to USPS, but take all your info and charge you $60 before you realize it's too late.

- Phoenix, AZ, USA

I searched for USPS address change and this site was the top hit. They made the site very similar to actual post office. Nowhere does it mention a fee or charge. It said it will use debit/credit card as verification only, then stole $80

When moving I needed to forward my mail. This website was the first to come up and stated that they were endorsed by the USPS. No where on their site or in their terms and conditions did it state anything about a charge more than $1.05 for identify verification. I was then charged $79.95 to my account. Their terms state that all transaction are fully refunded if there is a complaint, however I attempted to contact their customer service and never received a call or email back from them or a refund.
