United Address Update Reports & Reviews (50)

Did change address July 15 site took 95.99 off my card I don't know we're go get refund

I relied on google.com search which threw this site https://useunitedaddress.org/m/?referer=https://www.google.com/ on searching "usps change of address". I have been charged $89.95 along with all my private information being submitted on the site. I am not sure how to get the money refunded and how my private data can be misused. I have provided feedback to Google on this where it's ad program was primarily responsible for me falling into this trap. In spite of having so many complaints how does Google not protect it's customers but instead promotes such scamming sites on top. I have all the required screenshots in email.

I googled USPS address change and clicked the link not realizing it was an ad. The website is designed to look like the USPS page and charged me $89.95 before I realized I was scammed. They have a refund policy listed but there is no contact.

I googled "USPS change of address" and this was the first option that came up. I was in a hurry, it matched the USPS website, and I filled out all the forms. I thought it was strange they didn't tell me the total before I had to give them my payment info but I went ahead. Now I'm out $90 because I'm an [censored] in a hurry.

Appearing near identical to USPS in questions and format. $89 charge

While not paying attention, I was multi tasking and trying to change my address, and accidentally landed on this website. The website is almost identical to the USPS change of address form. The legal language makes it seem as if you are only paying the typical $1.05 charge for a change of address form. After I submitted my change of address form, they immediately charged me $90.

Venmo will not even let me block this proven fraudulent merchant but is allowing the fraudulent charge to be processed. I was warned that Venmo had some questionable fraud and security issues that were difficult at best to try to get settled with them. May need to get away from PayPal and Venmo if you want your funds to be secure or protected.

If you look at info copied from my Venmo charge, the fraud related merchant info looks like perhaps a Tx phone number on the next the last line:

I went online on June 1st because I had moved to a new place & typed in on google"change of address." The 1st thing that pops up was USPSChange of Address- Mail Forwarding. Clicked on that page pops up that I thought I recognized(I had gone online many years ago & did a change of address on the actual USPS website) filled out my name old address, new address, phone number, email address, credit card information, click & done. Then the page said I was going to get an email confirming but I got a text message confirming shortly after.

Days later I was going through my transactions on my online banking, saw a charge of $89.95 from Forward My Postal Mail. It took me a couple minutes to process it because the last week was a blur from moving, cleaning & repairing my old place that I was renting.

I freaked out, went through my browsing history & found what website unitedaddressupdate I had done my change of address with, which I had thought I had done it with the official USPS.com website.

I then when to the offical USPS.com website went to the change of address page on the USPS site & they look very similar even the logo that unitedaddressupdate is very similar.

I then went back to the unitedaddressupdate website & noticed that they don't have a home page or even a menu that has other links to other pages of their website. There is a link at the bottom "terms & conditions" that you can click on & it will bring you to a page with the fine print & then their is a menu on the upper right that has links to "about us", "FAQ" & some other links.

I went through all of the links & never was there any information about how much I was going to get charged.

When I went online to find information about this company by typing in the phone numbers that I had gotten from the text message I had received & the one that was on my bank statement, there was no information about unitedaddresschange connected to those numbers or any business connected to those provided numbers.

This business is a scam & it needs to be shut down.

How these [censored] are even able to have this site up is beyond me. Someone needs to teach them a lesson.

Moved my family from Colorado to Wyoming and wanted to put in for a change of address. Did a simple google search, and their site was the first one, and stated it was the "Official USPS address change..."

They took $89.95 from my account without my knowledge or permission. When I called the said “I would get a 50% refund” but have yet to receive it. I called back to get totally refunded and the man on the phone was pressuring me to get all these “services” for a low price of $19.95. All I wanted was to update my address, even their icon looks like the original USPS icon.

I googled address change and this website was the first in the results. I assumed it was a USPS website and entered my current information along with my new address. The next page asked for a credit card number to confirm my identity. After clicking submit, I thought it was done. Shortly after that, I checked my bank statement and noticed a new pending charge for $89.95. I never agreed to pay this amount! And today I am charged for $89.95.

I need to change my usps address and didn’t

Realized that this website was fake and proceeded to make a payment thinking that this was a usps website

I googled USPS address change and this website was in the results. I assumed it was a USPS website and entered my current information along with my new address. The next page asked for a credit carb number to confirm my identity. After clicking submit, I thought it was done. Shortly after that, I checked my bank statement and noticed a new pending charge for $89.95. I returned to the website and tried to figure out what happened, since no mention of paying money was made, and found in the fine print at the bottom of the page that they charge $89.95 for their services. We did not agree to pay this amount! Looking back at the website today, it’s changed since last night. I attached part of their website, but since it’s changed, I can’t access the part where it mentions the fee in fine print without authorizing payment. I have more screen shots if needed.

the business is owned by him: https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-stewart-b258456

Wow 100% a scam. Plus they're ranked #1 in google if you type in "usps address change"? This is insane how many people they're grabbing credit card info from. Thank god I have discover (which they apparently don't accept) because after double checking I realized this was NOT the USPS! Their site needs to be 100% reported to Google!
