Consumer reported that he received a call from the Treasury Department.  The woman with whom he spoke, Nancy Jones, told the consumer that he was eleigible to receive a grant for $7,800.  To receive the grant. however, the consumer had to first send in $250.  The telephone number that Nancy Jones gave was 253-843-6229.

I got a  call this morning from the Treasury Department. Recorded message from a caller  named Davis Grey. He gave me this phone number: 206-900-9166 to call back. Pending situation regarding Treasury Department.

Received message on mu answering machine today. The caller stated he was David Grey . He  said he is a Federal officer with the Treasury Department. Said it was detrimental that I call him back at 206-466-4847 or I will end up in jail.

I received a message from the Treasury Department. They said I had been awarded 9,0000. That it had something to do with *** or me be *** The Money confirmation number is ***. Also, when they called, it showed on my caller ID as all 0's (000-000-0000). The number they told me to call back on was ***. When I called that number back, they said my file wasn't ready yet, and to call back in 5 minutes.
