I booked a hotel through Traveluro, when I arrived at the hotel I was told the booking was canceled. I had to book on spot, regardless of how much more I had to pay. The biggest issue is, Traveluro charged me and refused to refund or contact me in any form. None of my phone calls were picked up. However after I open a dispute with the credit card company I used, Traveluro provided them with a receipt of me booking through them. The credit card company decided I should pay for it. It’s still an on going dispute but my point is, don’t ever use this company Traveluro. It will ruin your trip and you need to spend extra time to deal with the financial obligations.

I used this website to book a hotel room for three nights and the day before I get to my “already booked” room I get an email saying that the hotel I booked with is full so they need to put me somewhere else. Might I add a MUCH less nice hotel. Although when I get to the hotel they never had a reservation set under my name to begin with. So I called the company and they made me wait on the phone for 50 minutes with no answer, I could have waited on that phone all night. No one was going to answer me so I called back again and they still didn’t not help enough though they were the reason I didn’t have a place to sleep for the night. Many online review share similar stories to mine. The reports on traveluro are that they take your money, book you into a lesser hotel without telling you and at the last moment say that your hotel is unavailable but they can get you into the motel up the street, although they can’t really get you to stay anywhere.

Made a hotel reservation through Traveluro and received all confirmations including a reminder about my stay a day before it was reserved for. When I came to the hotel I was informed that my reservation was cancelled by Traveluro a week after it was made. Luckily hotel had a room available, but at a higher rate than I paid Traveluro. I spent over an hour on the phone with Traveluro service reps, but couldn't get any explanation of the cancellation. I was promised a call back from an escalation department, but no one called me back. I had to call back multiple times just to request a return of my money. I was requested to send Traveluro my hotel bill, which I did. Still no apology, no compensation, huge aggravation. I submitted a dispute for the Traveluro charges to my credit card.

Traveluro is a SCAM! FRAUDULENT! THIEVES! As a THIRD party they had absolutely no problems taking my money for the room reservation. To prove I made an actual purchase with them I have attached the receipt they sent me. They sent me follow up emails, even one with a receipt. I showed up to the hotel only to find out that Traveluro never paid them for my room! Needless to say, the hotel was unable to provide the room that was not paid for. The manager at the desk stated that this is an issue that "I" would need call and follow up on as this is not their problem. After sitting in the lobby on hold for a lengthy time, the manager felt bad and attempted to call (Customer Service Phone Number) Traveluro while I was on listening to a recording at the same time but we were both left on eternal hold with no results! Traveluros customer service is a farce and a fraud! It is a recording with music that gives you fictitious updated times and caller placement number. Here is an example of the fraudulent updates I had to listen to while waiting over and hour for a customer service rep to even answer: 1-646-844-8798 I place the call at 5:04pm 5:04 caller 19 wait time is 12 min. 5:21 caller #7 wait time 6 minutes 5:38 caller #6 wait time 7 minutes 5:40 caller #5 wait time 8 minutes 5:44 caller #5 wait time 15 minutes 5:45 caller #5 wait time 16 minute 5:47 #4 wait time 17 minutes 5:50 wait time 20 minutes 5:51 wait time 28 minutes 5:54 caller #2 wait time 31 minutes 5:55 wait time 32 minutes 5:58 wait time 27 minutes 5:59 Caller #3 wait time 28 minutes 5:59 caller #3 wait time 29 minutes 6:00 caller #3 wait tome 35 minutes 6:01 wait time 42 minutes 6:04 caller #3 wait time 43 minutes 6:05 caller #3 wait time 38 minutes I was on hold for "1" hour and 20 minute before a customer service rep answered. Only to tell me that the issue will be been brought up to the "escalation team". When I asked why did this have to go to the "escalation team" when I've paid my money and all I need is for them to pay the hotel so I can have my room, she stated that they are "undermanned" and that they are doing their best. She stated she did not have the ability to help me with the issue. After waiting on the phone having no results for over 2 hrs sitting in the lobby of the hotel, I gave the front desk my credit card to waste no more time to facilitate getting my son and my self a room after having spent the whole day in the 100 degree sun. . I told the customer service rep to make note that I have requested a FULL REFUND due to the claim of fraud, scam and theft. She explained that she would submit my request and that I should hear back within 24 hours.

They refused to give me a refund and only offered 10% off my next travel plans!
I just called splittytravel.com customer service contact number +1 (646) 927-1991 and it says "we're sorry, your call can not completed at this time, please hang up and try your call again later". AGAIN, scam, fraud, theft!

On May 4th 2022 I booked online two rooms at Hampton Inn North Youngstown North for June 19, 20 and 21 of 2022 through Traveluro. The following day I realized I had the wrong dates and asked to change them to June 21 and 22. They agreed and said they would make the changes. I was told I could make further changes up to week prior to my reservation. I called back on 1st week in June to cancel one room since a friend who I made reservations for 2nd room was having health issues. They confirmed the changes in email but I never received a formal confirmation back. A few days before my reservation I called the hotel directly but they had no reservation for me thru Traveluro or any other reservation. They did confirm I did have a reservation for two rooms on my initial reservation with Traveluro that was canceled by Traveluro who was refunded by the Hotel as confirmed by Shauna at the Hampton Inn. Since I had no reservation through traveluro Inmade a reservation at the Hampton Inn North directly. Over the last two months I have called traveluro 30 to 40 times and sent many emails. Spoke to many people and did get some information from Neil and Jonathan, but nothing ever has been resolved, as I’m still waiting as of 7/6/22. Please do not use Traveluro for any booking. Frank

i have booked with them for a 3 days stays, book by error 4 days... my mistake, so their not on the hook for that. i received no confirmation i tried 5 minutes later realising my error that the dates did not match never received a email had to call 7 times with more than 100$ IN LONG DISTANCE CALL. i will sue them through kayak and trivago and let decide the juge what trivago and kayak who receive money for this scam are going to say about this

On 8th February 2022, I booked “Madinah Movenpick Hotel” through Traveluro booking site. Immediately after booking, I realized the Hotel is little far from the Mosque. So, I called Traveluro Customer Care Center and explained the situation and requested to cancel the booking and refund the money.

On 9th February 2022, I called Traveluro Customer Care Center again and wanted to know the status of the request, The Customer Care Representative informed me that the booking is final and cannot be cancelled, and my request has been declined. Then I requested the Representative to send me a confirmation via email.

I have also made a request through Traveluro Website to send me a confirmation from Traveluro as well as from the Hotel. In response, Traveluro confirmed and confirmed and guaranteed my booking.

On 19th March, I also called Traveluro Customer Care Center again to confirm. The Customer Care Representative informed me that Traveluro is guaranteeing the hotel booking.

On 21th March, Traveluro canceled my booking refereeing my cancellation request a month earlier. While confirming and guaranteeing several times over phone and through email, how come Traveluro cancel my booking just a day before of my travel date based on a request which they have already declined a month earlier?

I made 3 reservations for 3 rooms with Traveluro. They charged my cards for the rooms, but did not verified or paid the hotel. Totally a scam!

I booked a room but I had to cancel because I was diagnosed with Covid. They refused to cancel even though it was well within the cancel period. Now they claim I actually was at the hotel and checked in. Liars. Shameful thieves. Beware.

They charged my card for a room, but did not pay the hotel. Luckily the hotel had a room available, and we were able to pay the hotel directly and get some sleep.
I tried emailing them many times to request a refund. They did respond once with stall tactics. After getting no response to my further emails, I reported the charge as fraud with my credit card company.
After a month, I receive an email from Traveluro that they WILL refund my money. Then, a few days later they send me an email stating that they can't refund the money because I disputed the charge. If I would only cancel the oh-so-slow dispute process, they would process my refund quickly. Fat chance.

I checked into my motel, only to find that the room was dirty and everything was in disrepair. The front desk employee cancelled my reservation right in front of me and said the hotel had received no money. I immediately contacted Traveluro. They sent an email on December 12 that said they are working on it and have not responded since then. I am out $400 and cannot find a phone number for the company.

I booked from Trivago because it was lower than booking directly through the hotel and then got an email from Traveluro their partner site and they originally said my trip could be canceled by 3/25/22 and then once I got confirmation it said it could be canceled by 3/25/22 with a charge of $304. I thought it was odd because I would not have booked this trip had I seen that. Then I looked at my dates and I booked a week earlier than our spring break from our kids school. So I reached out to have it amended and they said it could not be done. They never stated this trip was not amendable and even when I went to log in it gives me the option to change my dates. Now they are saying if I want just to cancel they will take the cancellation fee. This is a scam. Someone needs to make them go out of business and Trivago and TripAdvisor should not be partnering with them.

I do not recommend booking through Traveluro. Due to road closures I wasn't able to get to the hotel for my booking. I was given the run around from the hotel and traveluro. The hotel said they would refund due to road closures and the after talking to traveluro they blame the hotel so they can keep my money.

If u plan on booking with traveluro and something that is out of your control happens expect not to get helped or any refund. Even if the hotel says they would

SCAM and FRAUD
I booked a hotel in San Francisco with this provider. I received a confirmation email, my credit card was charged and received a payment receipt. Upon arrival at the hotel, the hotel had record of my reservation, however Traveluro canceled my reservation the following day. I have been trying to reach the travel company but they only offer a email, no phone number. The hotel also tried to follow up with Traveluro and received no response. Traveluro took my money and never paid the hotel. I've tried to follow up and not received any reply despite using their 'Contact Us" links. There is no phone number and they don't reply. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! They are a scam even though their website is recommended by TripAdvisor. I have not received a refund from Traveluro.

I used Traveluro to book a room at a downtown New Orleans Hotel for a seminar. After making this reservation, I was informed that the seminar had been postponed and rescheduled for a later date due to Covid sanctions and an approaching hurricane. I contacted Traveluro and requested either a refund or reschedule of reservations to the new date. I was read the boilerplate policy of no refunds. I pleaded my case that the hotel was closed due not only for Covid but for a hurricane; acts that are completely out of my control. I did receive a refund however.
Bottom line; would I use them again...no. But, in fairness, I did receive my refund.

These scammers are acting as 3rd party processors for hotel reservations and stealing the money off your card. And, and as soon as you arrive to the hotel, it informs you that you have no reservation and that they never received anything from this company called Traveluro. It's unheard of. I lost $90

Beware this scam site
Booked a few months ago and within about 5 minutes of booking realized I had the wrong date for a wedding. Despite it being months ahead of time I reached out to cancel or even just change my date. Heard no response for a few days and called the hotel who said I had to work with this site. Reached back out to them and was starting to feel weird about the booking so requested a refund. They promised one would come in a few days. A month later, no refund received, I called the hotel who approved the cancellation but said this company had to approve the refund. They first tried to claim they were waiting for the hotel to approve it, but once I told them I'd already talked to the hotel they promised a refund would come "in a few business days." It's now been 2 months - I reached out to them one final time before saying I was going to report them and have not heard back from them since. I think I'm going to be out $200.

I booked with Traveluro for a discount. Google's API lists them underneath reputable hotel vendors, such as Expedia, Trivago, and Hotels.com. I was sent a "voucher" for my reservation that just looked fake. Upon inquiring with the hotel (I use this hotel weekly and have friendly relations with all the workers), they informed me that this site was a scam and that my reservation could not be confirmed because it was not in the system. I had to call my bank and have the transaction reversed. Do NOT use Traveluro. Their customer service threw me for a loop, promised to return my calls rather than keep me on hold, and they never did. If it had not been for my bank, I would've been scammed for $144. Luckily, I only tried to book one night, but this number could've exponentially higher.

I stayed at the Cincinnati ohio location after working a 12 hour day was tired and when i went to check in the hotel didnt have my reservation. I sat in the lobby for over two hours and on the phone with their customer service one told me to wait while she contacted the hotel and i said im here you can speak with them now and she said we have to do it on our phone. Well the lady didnt call so i called them back spoke with someone who told me that he would call me back in ten min with confirmation to get checked in after 10 min i didnt recieve a call so i called them back and they sent a virtual wallet credit card which first declined and then the second one worked finally after 3 1/2 hours i got into my room but the next day i called demanding to talk to a manager and got the escalating team which i told them i deserved to be comped a room for all my troubles and they couldnt do that so i was told when i book agian to contact them with my confirmation number and they would reimburse me 50 bucks immediately. But i have to pay gor the whole cost first for them to do that. How fare is that.
