Followed ads from Instagram for a newly built luxury resort in North Carolina from TheLookoutTower.com. By paying $50 upfront, you would get first dibs on reservations at the resort which consisted of lookout tower-styled cabins in North Carolina and would get your first reservation at 50% off.

Paid the $50 and then received a link where I could book my cabin a month or so later but to reserve, would have to pay the full amount for two nights - $848 - upfront and in full. Became wary at this point and did a little more digging and realized this place didn’t exist.
