they post the job on indeed to make it seem like it's a secret shopper job and get your address and phone number and ask you to deposit the check they send you in your bank account

Solicited me as a secret shopper via [email protected]

Next I received a Miami Postal Service Credit Union check #B884330 made out to me in the amount of $1930.32. I live in Johson City, TN. I called MPS Credit Union 800-732-3630 to see if funds available? Clerk said she would check and see if funds available and call me back. Now I am reporting what I believe is an attempt for me to deposit a check and use my bank funds to buy $1500.00 gift cards (2×$500.00) Footlocker Visa Gift Cards. Secret Shopper Scam.

Instructions came with cashiers check accompanied by unsolicited text stating they received notification that package was delivered to me. Cashiers check cleared, tasks completed. Cashiers check comes back as fake and gift cards redeemed by scammer.

I received a text stating I was selected to be a secret shopper and I got my first assignment. A priority mail envelope came with instructions what to do as well as a bogus cashiers check drawn on a well known bank.

Responded to a text message from this person at 2013173868 saying it was Whole Foods and seeking secret shoppers; way to make extra money. Accepted offer to be a secret shopper. Received express mail with letter and check for $1,950.00 instructions say to deposit check and purchase $1,500.00 in gift cards then email information from both sides of the cards and answers to some questions, including the name of the salesperson cards purchased from to [email protected] or text to 346-366-4252.
