I was called by a John Ruiz who was supposedly from Steinburg and Associates. Saying I owed $3,850 for an unpaid credit card of Celtic Bank. He threatened to garnish my wages if I didn’t pay. Then he said I could settle it if I paid $2,800. I paid $200. Then per my roommates suggestion I did research and realized they were probably a scam. So o shut down my debit card and I don’t answer their calls. It’s very humiliating.
