While playing a game on my phone, this ad pops up about Omaha Steaks partnering with Food Network's Joanna Gaines to give away free steaks for fans to try at home. There's only a limited number of steaks they can give away and the only thing you pay for is shipping. After clicking on the link, you're taken to a page that looks legitimately from Omaha Steaks/Food Network. You answer 3 questions: do you have a valid US shipping address, have you participated in a Food Network promotion in the last 90days, and do you agree to pay $9.95 shipping. Once "approved," the secondary website where you make your payment is https://techtrendygizmos.com/BWOmahaSteaksButchersCutV1/checkout/

While putting in your card info, there's a pop-up that says they're giving a $2 discount to anyone paying with their Mastercard. Otherwise there's an option to pay $7.95. I used my Visa debit card. However, upon seeing that there was no confirmation email, i went and checked my bank statement. The charge of $7.95 is still processing with the company name not of Omaha Steaks, but of "SUPERDELASCHEAPMUSICST XXX-XX18064 UT". I've already disputed the charge with my bank but there's not much that can be done while the charge is still processing. I then went to do a Google search, only to find out that the whole thing is a scam. There is no giveaway. Apparent they charge you for shipping and never send you a thing, then fraudulently charge upwards off $100 to your card for monthly subscriptions.
