South Shore Medical Supplies is an predatory operation that targets senior citizens. They state that the seniors doctor referred them to provide durable medical equipment and gets the Medicare number to file inflated claims for unnecessary equipment.

My mother is a victim and has boxes of back braces, knee support devices, etc. that she does not need. I spoke with her primary care physician who confirmed that he did not recommend the use of these devices. Mom is 84 years old and in good physical health but suffers from severe cognitive decline.

Received a back brace in the mail. Called and tried to return. Return label was given but another was sent in the mail to me the next day. Paperwork says it is going to bill medicare and if insurance does not pay that I am responsible for the bill. My physician did not authorize this nor did I.
