I received a medical bill for a hospital visit I DID NOT have (Date of Service 5-10-2026).

It shows total charges of $1534.00, a payment of $981.76 (supposedly made by me -- but I have medical insurance, and the listed hospital has this information), with a balance due of $552.24.

Sound Physicians has a high risk rating (87/100) and is not a ScamPulse.com business.

I doubt that Kaweah Hospital is responsible. But I have no information about the NP (Daryl Magada) who is listed as providing service at that location AND is listed as employed there.

In addition to a public notice of this scam sent to the American Hospital Association, I want any indication of "non-payment" removed immediately from my credit score, and a letter to me stating that it is clean.

I received multiple texts from this number which claimed to be Sound Physicians. They stated that they were filing a claim with my insurance and included a link for me to click on for me to confirm that my information was correct. I Googled “Sound Physicians” and called the number for billing that was listed on the website (which was different than the number I received the texts from) and I was informed that I don’t have a balance.

Sound Physicians of Illinois based in Los Angeles sent an invoice saying I owe $1735.00 from a date of service in 2018. I have never received a bill from them and it’s 2021. I immediately thought scam when I received it so didn’t pay any attention to it. Then a month later I received another invoice saying FINAL NOTICE and if I didn’t pay it would be sent to collections. I called them and they could not help me at all and told me they would connect me with the supervisor who I was never connected with. This has to be some sort of scam.
