To anyone who may read this.. READ THE FINE PRINT ..
I fell for the "get a free product and you only pay shipping and handling promotion.
The Promise: Get a free product and only pay shipping and handling.
The fine print which I didn't see: (we assess a recurring subscription to "services" .. i.e. website subscriptions, websites, etc. In my case.. they actually assessed the full charge for the camera ($71.50) and a 15 day access to some website called wildvipstore.com which I've never heard of for ($39.95) for a total of $111.45 billed to my credit card.
The Resolution: In my case, SONIC GEEKZ ties back to a company called ShipNowPayLater. You need to look up the Shipment Notification email they sent you and call their support number. Don't plan on getting any sympathy/empathy when you talk to their representative. You need firmly ask them for a RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization Number) and tell them you intend to return their product and ask them to remove you from any and all subscriptions or recurring charges. You'll need to repackage whatever product they sent you and return the product(s) to whatever P.O. box address their representative gives you. You're going to have to eat the return shipping charge (pricetag for lessons learned). I recommend using USPS and obtain a USPS tracking number and then call them back and give them that tracking number. In the mean time.. call your bank (or credit card company) and ask them to reject any future charges from that merchant to prevent charges from hitting your card from the time you begin the return process until the time they receive their product back. That "SHOULD" take care of the issue. In my case.. hard lesson learned.. .we need to read every single line of the fine print when making any online transaction. Just delete and don't respond to any "here's something for free" adds or offers you may receive. The price I'm going to have to pay to return it along with the hassles involved is the pricetag I'll have to pay to have learned that lesson. Best of luck to any others that have made this mistake along with me.

I responded to an email on-line survey that legitimately looked like other info I would receive from Shell. It was a 30 second survey and offered as a promotional gift several different items. This promo stated you only had to pay the shipping of $9.90 so of course out comes the credit card and now they have it. I received the promo gift July 4/22 and the card was charged $9.90 for shipping, then on July 6/22 my card has a charge put on it for $129.91!! I didn't authorize this purchase and then the red flag showed up. I was a victim after all these years. Then, another charge from someone else, is put on my card and I immediately contacted the right people to have this stopped and hopefully get my $129.91 back.

The email shared for Sonic Geekz support no longer works. Just tried to email them and it came back as undeliverable. I was also scammed and am trying to recover my money. The device they sent me does not work, and I have no idea why they charged me an extra $94.

Ask to take a survey. Did so. Rewarded by choosing a product for participating in survey. Just charged $11.95 for shipping. Checked my bank statement and to my surprise, discovered a $111.45 recurring monthly charge. Called customer service and they said I authorized it by choosing the reward gift. Total internet scam. Say they will refund the charges when I return the cheap health pedometer and heart rate bracelet that didn’t work after 3 uses. Spread the word about the deceptive practices of the company.

This company uses deceptive practices to advertise their product(s). The price that is show for what they say is shipping and all that you pay is evidently (this happened to my husband, not me) written clearly and in larger print than their "terms and conditions." Which my husband did not notice. We found the charge for the shipping on our credit card and because the company had such an odd name, I questioned it. He could not remember that name. I called the number given on my credit card but it rang and I was put on hold for such a long time I hung up fearing I was getting charged some mega fee per minute for being on the phone with them. (scam fear) I found an email address and emailed them and they told me what the charge was for. I found that their return email was from "shop now pay later." So I looked their number up and called them. . I told them that I wanted to return the flashlight and that I wanted their address and a return authorization number if I needed one. The woman was less than nice to me, actually huffy. I remained nice to her. I asked how sonicgeekz.com and they were affiliated, she said that they are a merchant of theirs. I told her what had happened and that I wanted to return the flashlight. She gave me the RA# and the address - P.O. Box 447 Lakeland, Fl 33802. I asked what was the name of the company that I put on it. She told me to just put the RA# and P.O. Box number on it. Weird. My feelings about this company and the other are that they are scammers, hoodwinkers, if you wil.
