- Gresham, OR, USA

The voice on the call said his name was Joe and he was calling on behalf of Social Security Disability.

He then said can you hear me.

I replied yes but you're breaking up.

The voice then repeated the same message and I hung up.

First thing is Can you hear me ok? Says he is on a secure line and calling about social security disability. Will not take not interested for a answer. He keeps calling. He calls at least 2 times or more a day. Calls once and if I don't answer, calls right back. One number is 606-536-9887 and another is 606- 536-9889 another is 606-536-9883. I had stopped keeping the numbers till I seen on tv that this was a scam. I had asked them if he could hear me? Stop calling. Didn't do any good still calling. Not sure if they have did anything to me or not. I'm changing my passwords.

Stated that the phone was associated someone in the household look for social security disability. He asked me if I can hear him, I reply yes. I asked him about how he got my number, he said he doesn't have information. I hung up.

Someone called my mobile phone number on January 24, 2017, with a familiar phone exchange (so I would answer) and claimed they were from the Social Security Disability bureau, and immediately asked the question "can you hear all right"? I replied "yes" and then they immediately hung up, terminating the call. I have heard that this is a scam to solicite a verbal response of "yes", "O.K." or other affirmative response. I am at this point uncertain of any ramifications of this call. A similar incident occurd on December 27, 2016.
