Scammer vent cleaners

This place is a scam! Do not use!

I ordered a vent clean due to an emergency and they noted that it would be $68 to clean the vents so I agreed. When they got there, they noted the $68 would be for 2-feet worth of cleaning and not the whole duct. So they charged me $486 and won’t give me an invoice. Beware: they also have a business phone but will call you from various other phone numbers probably to not trace them back.

Called SoCal Dryer Vent Pros on 9/17/24 to schedule a cleaning for my dryer vent. Was told by representative of said company the cleaning was $68 total! Service was scheduled for 9/18/24 between 10am-12pm. Received a call from Company Representative @ 7:40 this morning 9/18/24 stating technician will be at my home by 9am! Once technician Ray arrived show him to dryer unit. Then came the spill about inspection, etc etc. I explained to the Technician I just moved in a year ago don’t use dryer but once weekly just want to have vent cleaned! The home is just three years old & previous owners were very meticulous. I wanted dryer vent cleaning for my peace of mind. Technician proceeded to measure distance of dryer to outside vent & told me the $68 price was cleaning for up to 7 feet of vent, my dryer vent to outside equals 20 feet, the price for cleaning would be $458 but he will discount it to $300! I told him No Thanks, I do not appreciate a bait and switch & I called his office told the Receptionist the same. They should not prey on older people like that!
